Today I want to share with you exactly how to sell anything to anybody by focusing on the human mindset and mentality, you see everyone has hot buttons and when you press the right hot button you can sell anything to anybody.

So let’s have a look at the two main motivations that people have when buying something:

-        To avoid pain

-        Or to obtain pleasure

People will almost do anything to avoid pain so they will purchase products that will allow them to be able to avoid this pain, for example people will purchase weight loss products to avoid the pain of being overweight or wrinkle cream to fight the signs of ageing or that cheaper car to avoid being broke etc.

The other great motivator for people purchasing a product is the fact that they will get some kind of pleasure out of the product they have purchased, for instance did you buy your car because it made you feel great when you drive it, does the thought of you driving your car make you feel a million dollars? Or maybe you brought that watch, shoes, shirt, dress etc because it made you feel great.

This is how to sell anything to anybody by tapping into people’s emotions because people will buy things based totally upon emotions and when your marketing is focused directly on your customer’s pleasures and pains your sales will sky rocket.

Before you can sell anything to anybody you must first:

Know Your Customer!

To be able to sell a product to someone no matter what the niche is you must have a total understanding of what makes your customer tick, what your customers pleasures and pains are, you must have a total understanding of how your customer thinks, so how do you achieve this?

Step In to Your Customers World

Get to know your customers deepest pleasures and pains by getting involved in forums, participating in blog discussions, reading articles in your customer’s niche, talking to potential customers, even by becoming a customer yourself!

So to recap how to sell anything to anybody is by tapping into their emotional reasons for wanting to purchase your product in the first place and, if your product will help them to avoid pain focus your marketing on that aspect or if your product helps them to gain some sort of pleasure focus your marketing directly on the pleasures that your product provides.

The Most Powerful Tool For Marketing To Your Potential Customers

The most powerful marketing tool on the planet for marketing to your potential customer would have to be a well written sales letter which is totally focused on your customer’s emotional hot buttons.

The single most profitable skill set that you could learn to create a massive income for yourself would have to be “copywriting” because when you can create a well written sales letter focused on the emotional buttons of your potential customers you can make sales all day long on auto pilot.

I see were your coming from. Good post. Most purchases are made from a emotional stand point anyway. We then justify it with logic later on. That’s why the put all those nice candies and magazines while your trying to checkout of the store. You figure, “Oh, I wanted something sweet!”, so you buy it. Emotions. You know you don’t need to candy, but yet you buy it anyway, and justify it later on with logic.

    Hey,
So true my friend… Even the large retail stores have a person in charge of setting out the entire store in order to take advantage of the emotional and impulse buyers.
You would be surprised how much effort is put into the arrangement of these stores.
If you can apply this to your online business and push the emotional buttons of your prospects then your bank account is going to be very healthy.

    THanks,

You made some really good points. Some retailers never connect with their customers and that’s why so many businesses fail. When you make a sale is great, but if they never return you need to make immediate changes.

    Hi Kara,

Absolutely! If you aren’t satisfying your customers enough for them to spread the word or at the very least come back then you are doing something wrong.

    Thanks,
