Upon joining a network marketing/MLM company you’re told to make a list of your friends and family, they call this your warm list.
Once you’ve done your so called “MLM Lead Generation” and made your warm list, you are then required to get on the phone and arrange meetings with your friends and family in order to convince them to join your MLM opportunity.
Let me ask you this, “What is the reaction in your social circle when you mention the word MLM?”
I can almost guarantee that you will be looked at like a weirdo and you will hear things like “Ah that’s a pyramid scam” and that’s without you even asking them to invest in your opportunity.
Do you think this is a good form of MLM lead generation?
The next strategy that you will be told to do for MLM lead generation will be to approach anyone within three feet of you that might look like a good prospect for your business, “The Three Foot Rule”.
Ty Tribble has coined a phrase for this type of MLM lead generation and I think it’s pretty funny, “The Crocodile Hunter Network Marketer” because you are trying to spear that perfect prospect in your local shopping mall or star bucks, etc.
Now you might have some success with these mlm lead generation strategies but at the end of the day I think you will be faced with more rejection and alienation than you would sign ups into your business.

When it comes to MLM Lead Generation I prefer to target people that are already interested in the network marketing/MLM industry that way I don’t waste my time trying to squeeze a square through a round hole.

What the internet allows you to do is position yourself in front of your exact target market, not only people that are interested in MLM but people who are searching for information on your specific MLM company.

If you are new to marketing online then I am sure you are thinking “Where Do I Even Start When It Comes To Using The Internet For MLM Lead Generation?”
That is a very valid question because when you first enter into the online marketing world it can seem very overwhelming but I want to let you know right now that YOU CAN DO IT.
Here Is The Blueprint For Online MLM Lead Generation:
Auto-Responder
You need an auto-responder in order to store your leads details such as name, email and phone number.
The really cool thing about an auto-responder is the fact that you can create an email follow up series where you can drip emails into your prospects email inbox, that way you can keep in touch and build a relationship over time.
You can also create a sales funnel and create multiple different income streams but that is other story within itself.
Lead Capture Page
A lead capture page is a one page website that has an offer on it enticing your prospect to enter their details into the opt in form, once they opt in instantly they become your lead and their details are stored in your auto-responder for follow up, etc.
Keyword Research
What keyword research allows you to do is basically define your target market so you can then create an online marketing plan around the data you find.
Keyword research is very important for MLM lead generation because this allows you to target your perfect prospects with your marketing.
Drive Traffic
Once you have your auto-responder, capture page and you have done your keyword research it is time to start driving targeted traffic to your capture page.
There is truly a ton of ways for you to market online and if you focus on that fact you will get overwhelmed very easily, that’s the last thing you want and it won’t help for your online MLM lead generation.
I want to share with you the three marketing strategies that I use to drive traffic for online MLM lead generation and they are:
- Article Marketing
- Video Marketing
- Blogging
The only costs you will encounter with these marketing strategies are the fee for a blog domain, hosting for your blog and time to create content.
I highly recommend setting yourself up a blog because there is are so many positive things you can do for your business with a blog such as personal branding, targeted MLM lead generation, combine the social networks, online presence, reach prospects from around the world, create a community, monetization, etc.
